Web-Quest Example
|
With a Web-quest, students take on the task of exploring, researching, documenting and demonstrating what they have learned. This site was designed as a model to guide children through learning about ecosystems and food webs. All needed materials and information sources can be collected by the teacher ahead of time and consolidated into one easy website. This minimizes the risk that children will unintentionally be exposed to harmful material while searching the internet for information.
What is an ecosystem?
What is a food web?
Welcome Class! We are beginning a NEW web quest today.
For this investigation, we will learn the parts of a food web and explore how living and non-living things interact in an ecosystem.
With this activity, we will explore what happens how ecosystems naturally seek balance. You'll also want to find how different living things depend on each other to survive.
What would happen to a wolf if all of the berry bushes burned away?
What would happen if a new colony of snakes came to live in an owls forest?
We will find out answers to these types of questions and more so let's get started!
